Who I Am
I married my wonderful wife Sondra on July 7, 1984. We have three boys. James is married to Teresa, and they have a daughter, Savannah. Jacob is married to Ashley, and they have a son, Alex. And Daniel is married to Jadine, and they have a daughter, Jada. The picture (right) was taken in front of Waimea Falls on our family vacation to Hawaii in 2019.
I earned my PhD from Purdue University in 1996, and had the pleasure of learning from some truly amazing scholars: Bud Weiser, Janice Lauer, Pat Sullivan, Mickey Harris, Jim Berlin, and Shirley Rose. More importantly, I had the honor of learning with a wonderful and collaborative cohort from the first day: Elizabeth Lopez, Lisa Toner, Lori Baker, and Teresa Henning.
